We supported set of deals to sell assets of Agro holding with over 50,000 hectares of land under management.
Successful execution of this complex and sale involved a «dual-track» sale strategy that allowed Sellers to maintain the option of a “sale of parts” or a “sale of whole” process.
The sale has been conducted through 4 separate transactions, for each of 4 groups of agricultural companies that managed 5 to 20 thousand hectares of leased land each. Groups of agro companies have been formed based on regional criteria, taking into account necessity to form compact land clusters.
Two out of four transactions has been structured in accordance with English law and another two according to agreements in Ukraine.
Even taking into account deal timing and time value of money, Sellers received significantly higher compound sale price as a result of such “retail sale”, compared to offers for acquisition of the whole agroholding they have received.
